Preparation steps

    Cream softened butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

    Fold in sifted flour gently.

    Add vanilla extract.

    Pour into buttered loaf tin.

    Bake 45-50 min at 170°C.

    Test with a skewer. Cool 10 min, then unmould.
