Preparation steps

Cream butter and sugar until pale.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.

Fold in flour, baking powder and lemon zest.

Add a splash of lemon juice.

Pour into buttered loaf tin.

Bake 35-40 min at 170°C.

While hot, poke holes and pour over hot lemon syrup (juice + sugar).
